The
CFValve was
originally designed at the request of E.I. DuPont de Nemours to improve safety
and accuracy of spray deposition for agricultural knapsack applications. It has
since been expanded to include compression sprayers and motorized equipment.
The CFValve
enjoys universal appeal for any process that profits from constant, calibrated
flow of solutions, air or gases. Savings in labor and conservation of chemicals
used, plus benefits to worker safety and the environmental protection, are
significant factors for successful applications. |

The
CFValve:
- eliminates the variables of unregulated spray
applications. See Elimination of
Variables.
- is engineered for precise accuracy to meet specific label rate
application requirements. Optimum
Zone.
- promises a consistent flow control that is independent of input
pressure.See Elimination of
Variables.
- is designed to fit most application equipment.See Insert Sheet with Specs.
- provides on-target deposition of chemical compounds when used
with knapsacks, compression sprayers, tractors and airplanes.
See Elimination of Variables.
- senses the back pressure of the nozzle and varying input
pressure from the pump, and automatically modulates the internal orifice size
to maintain constant flow.See
Elimination of Variables.
- if the pressure rises above a pre-set pressure the valve opens
at calibrated pressures. SeeGraphs of
Color Coded Valves.
- it will automatically close if pumping stops or pressure drops
below the preset pressure. See
Elimination of Variables.
- is cost effective because it conserves compounds used for
application, reduces waste and labor time. See Pesticide Outlook Scientific Test Results.
- offers increased worker safety. The
CFValve aids in reducing drift contamination and
requires less physical effort with manual operations.See Protective Clothing and Application Controls for
Pesticide Applicators in India: a field study by Anugrah Shaw.
- provides environmental protection by reducing drift.CFValve enables on-target application at specific rates and
diminishes excessive non-targeted deposition of materials. See Test Results DuPont.
