Just one example of usage CFValve™

The Houston District of the Texas Department of Transportation currently outfits their herbicide spray trucks with the CFValve™

The CFValve™ allows policy makers, vegetation managers, maintenance managers and spray truck operators to come to an excellent accord when attempting to satisfy the public concern with aesthetic appeal on one hand and safety concerns regarding chemical application on the other.

Texas spray truck operators are faced with the issue of needing to vary their pressure input in order to spray different areas of embankments on the sides of main highways. They may need to spray at 70psi to reach the top, and at 30 psi to spray areas closer to the road.

At the same time, the input pressure to lower nozzles along the front of the truck, which spray herbicide into the cracks and along curbs and gutter, would vary. When the input pressure is running at 70psi, increased flow rates and many fines prone to drift would be generated, resulting in unnecessary over-deposition, wasted chemical and environmental damage.

In the picture of the TX DOT truck the Blue 2.0BAR(29psi) CFValve™ allows spray truck operators to vary input pressure in order to spray herbicides onto the embankment Whether they run the pump at 70psi or 30psi, they can be assured the flow rate, spray pattern and droplet spectrum remains consistently at the preset 29psi pressure.

The picture shows two off center 08 nozzles angled away from each other. The CFValve™ maintains the spray pattern and flow rate constant to allow consistency in application of RoundUp® simultaneously to curbs and gutters.

Knowing exactly the amount of chemical deposited and having the ability to calibrate equipment precisely is very important, particularly when an organization is constantly under watchful eyes of the EPA, Department of Agriculture and the public.
